Use MARS where you need it
The MARS software is designed to be used on Unix platforms. The MPI parallelization makes it suitable for solving very large simulations on massively parallel supercomputer centers. Currently, MARS has been installed on the following supercomputer centers:
  • At the HPC center of the US ARMY ERDC
  • On Quest at the NWU computing center
  • On the SCOREC center RPI
  • On the CCNI center at RPI
Additionally, PC and Mac versions are also available for smaller size problems. The PC version should be run in the Cygwin environment, which provides a Unix like user interface. Upon obtaining a user license, you will be provided with a tar.gz file for either the Mac or PC environments, and you will be able to install MARS on your workstation or laptop computers.
